Caregiving: “It Takes a Village”

“We don’t heal in isolation, but in community.” ― S. Kelley Harrell

It is not unusual when we face an opportunity to heal our first reaction is we can do it ourselves, we can heal in isolation. We are proud, we are smart, we are strong, we have done it before, are some common thoughts that may be going through your head. The other side of the argument is that we “don’t want to be a burden” on those around us. These may all be true, but there are times when our community, our village, the support of caregivers around us can make all the difference.

Thank you to the caregivers who make our village possible.
