Home Health Aide
Champa Caregivers is looking for compassionate people looking to make a difference in their communities. This is important work and we’re looking for caring individuals willing to help.
Does Helping Others Come Naturally to You?
If you are a natural-born people helper, then anyone of our available caregiver jobs in our network may be a perfect fit for you. Also known as personal care of home health aides, caregivers aid those who are fragile, elderly, differently-abled physically or mentally, injured, sick, or otherwise infirmed.
Caregiver jobs place compassionate professionals like you in clients’ homes to help them with daily activities like bathing, grooming, using the bathroom, eating, household chores, and taking medication. Caregivers also serve as companions who help their clients with transportation and doctor visits.
Salary and Education Requirements for Caregiver Jobs
The median salary is $41,480 for private-duty caregiver jobs in the United States. While a high school diploma is not required, most caregivers have attained this level of education before starting their careers. Most training is provided on-the-job by more experienced caregivers. Training can include responding in emergencies, preparing foods for special diets, and safety protocols to follow.
Some states may require formal training through a home health organization, elder care course, or a vocational school. However, caregivers working for agencies that receive Medicaid or Medicare will always require certification.
